Concentration
The central idea of my concentration was to explore and emphasize personal identity through the use of embroidery and photography on canvas to represent diversity and unity throughout all people.
In the beginning of my concentration, I began to explore what personal identity means through the idea of emphasizing parts of the body and how they are connected to individualism. I continued to show this through my next pieces, while focusing more on what makes each of us unique. As I worked, I investigated how identity is linked to individual perception by exploring and using new embroidery techniques. By the end of my 10th - 12th slides, my concentration concluded with an emphasis on more detail within the embroidery and how incomparable each human being truly is.
